Rice - 200 gms; Onions - 1; Ginger-garlic paste - 2 tsp; Green chilli - 2-3; Jeera - 1½ tsp; Tablespoon Goda Masala - 2 tbsp; Dry Coconut (Grated) - 3 tbsp; Coarsely ground peanut - 2 tbsp; Vegetables (Green Peas, Cauliflower, Carrot, Tendli) - 100 gms.
1. Dry roast dried coconut and cumin seeds till brown. Add ginger, garlic, green chillies to it and grind to a paste.
2. In a pan, sauté cumin seeds, asafoetida & curry leaves . Add onion, fry till brown. Then add the ground paste, Tablespoon Goda Masala, vegetables and rice, sauté for 2-3 min. Add 2 cups hot water, salt & sugar. Cover the vessel & cook till the rice is done.
3. Garnish with coconut, coriander leaves and fried cashewnuts. Serve hot with ghee and lime. Tablespoon Goda Masala also goes well with pulses and other vegetables.
